Abstract

Almost all the women participating in the Indian National Movement (except a few) were influenced by the Satyagraha movement and creative program started by Mahatma Gandhi. However, there were some women who, apart from this, became members of militant or terrorist organizations. But, it is indeed a sad aspect of the Indian freedom struggle movement that the serial history of the militant women participating in the national freedom struggle is not available. Only after the Quit India Movement of 1942, some women of Bengal participated in violent activities and militant movement. However, its mention is not available. Presentation of the depiction of Indian women taking part in violent activities and extremist programs and their impact on the social and traditional Indian society of Indian women.
